Sold it
Didn't like it, couldn't stand the picture quality. The shutter lag was intolerable, I would click to caputure a moment and it failed every time. It was hard to photograph kids.

Worthless
I bought this camera six months ago never really had any problems with it until I took it in the water bout waist deep. I followed all manufactures specifications. After wading in the water about waist deep for approx. 10 minuets the camera never turned on again. It was right at the beginning of a trip to a remote festival in Ukraine and I was not able to take any pictures of my trip really ruined my vacation.

Major Problem with "Waterproofing"
We have owned and liked this camera for nearly a year, and had fun with it near and in water on many occasions. I took it with me this past weekend on an outdoor adventure that was a bit more rugged... and was horrified to look down at some point in the day to see the battery / SIM card door had popped open. Goodbye, waterproof-ness, and, as I was in water at the time, goodbye, camera. Fortunately the SIM card was still readable, but the camera is a loss.
If you're going to use this camera in wet and rugged situations, you might want to consider taping over the two critical doors. I have seen rubber sleeves for some other similar cameras, but am unable to find one for this camera... the sleeves help protect those door openers, for sure. Too bad none are available for this model.

Lumix Fun Camera
Most fun I've ever had with a camera - playing in and below the surf and no worries of water on the camera. Nice video, good picture quality.

Not waterproof under 10 meters. Not waterproof under 10 feet.
I bought this camera after losing my last Lumix to a leaky bottle of water in my backpack, specifically because it was waterproof. I took it in a pool yesterday in less than 10 feet of water and water leaked into the compartment that houses the battery and memory card. It is ruined. I am finished buying Panasonic Lumix cameras.
The 12.1 Megapixel resolution ensures high quality poster-size images. What’s more to it is its 4.6x image-stabilized optical zoom and the 28mm wide-angle lens. Users will also find it easy to store images through its SD/SDHC memory card expansion and transferring files is a breeze with the use of a plug-and-play USB firewire cable.
Functionality is also a plus factor. The Lumix DMC-TS1 sports the latest image enhancement technology to deliver more than what is expected. Now you can take crisp and clear photos and High Definition Videos with just one camera that can take a beating and emerge without a scratch.
