Big Bang for Little Bucks
I got this to use my iPod at my desk @ work and it's great for that. Doesn't take up much space, don't have to worry about a cord and plug for power and it sound pretty darn good! For the price, this works great for me! It plugs into the earbud jack,so I don't sit it upright like the picture shows. I sits on its side.
Very good quality for the price
I received this item as a gift to go along with my iPhone & iPod. It works well with the bulky case I have on the phone, and the sound, volume, and quality is very good for the cost and size of the module. However, it does take batteries, which is useful for portability, but sucks for life cycle cost and the drain it puts on my devices. It would be greatly improved by an optional AC adapter as well as a charging/docking station to charge my devices as well. However, then the cost would rise, and I don't really use this iHome enough to need something like that.
Great product, and highly recommended for anyone looking for a cheap alternative to an iHome/portable speakers.
This is AMAZING!
I shopped around for iPod speakers for a long time. After doing a ton of research I settled on these. Some of the reviewers said they experienced some sound quality issues and I did too until I changed the EQ settings on the iPod itself. The sound gets so loud! I am in love with this product! It is the perfect size to keep in smaller places like the kitchen and bathroom! I love being able to sing in the shower now!The only issue I have is when I move the product from room to room I have to keep a sturdy hold on the iPod itself or it falls off, but that is only a minor distraction. I love love this unit!
Did not work - going back to China
These units did not work (I ordered 2). Do not let the photo fool you. The unit connects to your ipod via a wire that sits under the unit. The ipod does not sit flat against the speaker unit - it sits on a tilt due to the plug that plugs into your ipod. These did not produce any sound from the ipod - that is too bad because I am looking for a portable solution for the ipod.
Great, but needs to change one thing...
I enjoy this speaker. I already have an iHome speaker and love it so much that I needed to try this one. Everything is great with it except the cord. I'm just concerned that it can eventually break and then, I won't be able to replace it. The other speaker I have has a cord that is removable and replaceable....Other than that, sound quality is great!!!!
