All Depends What You use It For
I've had this camera for about a year. At First I thought it was a great deal for 160. But, after 6 months, i started to realize it wasn't worth it to me.

I film mostly just time lapse, effects, and many action sports. like skateboarding. It still works amazing for 160. But then i bought a wide angles lens. It distorted the image and made anything moving somewhat quickly blurry as can be. I used Sony Vegas 9 to edit with. So that is what may have messed that up. If you have the same Problem, Switch to web & mobile instead of tv fine or super fine. it fixes the problem.

Another Problem is the audio is horrible. But thats not to major.

The main problem is that where you would screw a lens in, is VERY fragile. i would film a line with my friend through a wide angles, and take it off to get a shot at a gap, and it would strip each time a little bit. eventually it got so bad that the lens would not come off. so i had to rip it out. It is currently duct taped on to my camera.

Ok, now for the good.

It is VERY easy to use. and none of the controls are in an awkward position.

The zoom is incredible. it may go a little out of focus when zooming in at times. but it has never done that to me. you can zoom in as far as you would want for 160 and not lose much quality.

The Battery life last as long as you would need.

I recommend it to anyone who is filming there kids, a party, anything outdoors that is not moving at a fast pace. The low light quality isnt too great. but you cant expect that for this price. And you do not plan to edit this. But it is an okay camera.

I do not recommend this to anyone who films something such as skateboarding, bmxing, football, golfing, soccer, or any sport that is a bit fast moving AND PLANS TO EDIT IT. This camera may appear like the quality is perfect on the playback on the camera. but once you edit anything with this, you lose alot of quality. and things get blurry.

Limitations
I have had really good results with this camera and for the price it is worth having. the ease of transferring the video as files from the SD card to my iMac saves time and hassle. When the files are imported into iMovie they are automatically converted so iMovie can use them. The image stabilization works pretty well.

Now that I have made some movies using this camcorder I have bumped up against a couple of limitations.

1. no mic input jack. Although the built-in mics work reasonably well, if you want to interview someone you will have to get the camera pretty close to get decent audio. Wind noise can be an issue.

2. one speed zoom. For me the zoom was difficult to control, and I would have preferred the ability to zoom more slowly when needed.

3. Battery life. The original battery did not last very long, but I was able to get a couple of replacements that came with an A/C and D/C charger that worked well.

Conclusion. This camera takes good quality video and is easy to use. It is worth the money.

Samsung camcorder
A very nice compact camcorder. The company Always a good deal is really good I had a slight problem contacted them they took care of it fast in way less then 24 hours dealing withem I
( I WOULD RATE THEM 5 STARS )

By far the worst camera I have ever owned.
Picture quality is horrible. My old digital camera takes better movies than this camera. I am very surprised by this piece of junk put out by Samsung bacause I have Samsung DVD players and a Samsung TV which are great.

Good Introductory Camcorder
I've had this camera a little over a year and a half now. It was my first camcorder, and as a novice with these digital cameras, I found it to be very easy to use and have yet to run into any problems operating it.

It's light, has a great zoom lens and other features that make me think I lucked into the perfect purchase for me at the time. The menus are very intuitive, and everything was super easy to find. Samsung really needs to be complimented on the ease of use here for rookies like me. The learning curve was almost non-existant. Even the software that came with it works fine and it's easy to upload to YouTube as advertised.

The only downside, mentioned in other reviews, is that the camera is, admittedly, a bit outdated today. A new model was in the offing when I bought it (the F34, I think), so I kinda knew that at the time. It isn't HD, and YouTube has since moved to widescreen, a setting you'll need to find and change to in the settings. Still, if you're looking for an affordable intoduction to digital video cameras, or just want to buy one for your granny, you could do a lot worse than to pick one of these up.

The Samsung SC-MX20 Flash Memory Camcorder sports the Schneider Lens and allows 34x optical zoom capability. It uses H.264 video format that enables users to record up to 6 hours of video with an 8 GB card. It also sports an image stabilizer, 2.7” LCD monitor, and so much more. All these features are definitely more than what you can pay for.
