With all the accessories in the market for the iPod or the iPhone, it’s just frustrating to think about knowing that you can’t have all of that for your gadget. It’s like when one shop around for the accessories that a person kind of blank out about how that particular accessory can be used. So when the Powerlink 3-in-1 battery was announced by Macally, it was like a relief that something that is useful has finally been created.

The Powerlink has a 30-pin connector on one end that you can connect to your iPhone or your iPod, while the other end has a USB connector that you can connect to any power source such as a personal computer or a laptop. The Powerlink works as an emergency charger for the iPod and iPhone, and can also work as a USB flash drive and it also works as a data sync device for the said gadgets. The patent is still currently pending so it’s still not out on the market. But if it was, it would sell for about $49.99.

The Powerlink is probably the most useful out of the hundreds of iPod and iPhone accessories out there. Where else can you look for a battery pack, a flash drive and a data sync “cable” all in one? It may not be as flexible as the actual cable, and it can be pretty weird when you have it hooked up to your computer and the iPod or iPhone too, but at least it works.
