Piece of Junk!
Mine had the SAME DEFECT as others here: One speaker does not work! Not sure if it's a problem with the iPod connector or somewhere else, but it really sounds horrible with only one speaker working. Tried to return it, but VCT ELECTRONICS only accepts returns within 10 days from the ordering date. That obviously doesn't leave you much time to return it! Guess that shows how confident they are about the quality of this product. Also, they want all the original packaging with it, but it comes packaged in that annoying plastic material that you have to cut open with a razor blade, and then you just throw it away. Who saves that?? So this speaker case is going in the garbage and I'm out . DON"T BUY IT!
iHome iH13 Portable speaker for iPod
The product was delivered as promised. This is my second one. The first died after about 1 year. Decided to buy another because is very convienet. So for it works.
Starting it is a bit of a challenge, if you don't press the play button just right it will not play.
I purchased the second one because it is very good for traveling. We take it to the beach and it sounds ok. Can't expect audiophile sound for a product like this but is good for the intended purpose.
Just hope this one lasts longer than the first one.

must of got a dud
I was excited to get my ihome speakercase but it konk out after the fith time i use it.I previously bought one for a friend 3 yrs ago and it is still going strong.pros are decent sound ,super portable and protects my ipod.cons static interference at low volumes it is noticible at least with my unit from the beginning.let's see what happens when i get my replacement unit.
